Approval by Crown elders of contracts between Jews from the Podzamcze jurydyka and the Lublin kahal

The Crown elders approved the agreement between Jews from the Podzamcze jurydyka (an enclave in a town under a different jurisdiction) in Lublin and the Lublin kahal regarding the manner of passing the tariffs (symple), the proportion of the number of appraisers, tallymen, kahal members, and kahal electors. The parties agreed that every Jew who does not have his own property and does not pay 3 zlotys per day for trading will not be able to be appointed to any offices or functions in the community. Jews from Podzamcze were forbidden from separating from the Lublin kahal and were ordered to pay taxes to the Lublin community, with the exception of poll tax, castle rent, and military contributions. It was established that three ledgers of income and expenditure will be written down and stored, respectively, with the elders and community scribes and one at the Lublin castle.
