The instrument of the Ruthenian Voivode August Czartoryski for the commissioner for the Jewish regional council in Przemyślany

Ruthenian Voivode August Aleksander Czartoryski announces that he appointed Jan Mikołaj Cieszkowski, a Stężyca pantler, to be his commissioner for the Jewish council (6 October 1752) in his hereditary town, Przemyślany. Due to the financial mismanagement of land elders, the encumbrance of communities
belonging to the voivode’s property with an excessive rate of poll tax, and the drawing of wyderkauf debts without the knowledge of the voivode, the commissioner received special powers to audit the finances of the Ruthenian land. The land marshal was obliged to present him with a statement of land accounts.
