Summons to the Radom treasury tribunal for the elders of Chełm and Bełz from Busk Jews
Busk Jews, represented by the community Elder Pinkas Kałuski, are suing the land elders of Chełm and Bełz as well as the elder of the Witków community in the treasury tribunal in Radom due to the excessive burden imposed on them at Jewish councils. i.e., a higher than usual rate of poll tax which did not correspond to the former treasury assignations. As the basis of their suit, Busk Jews claimed that the villages separated from their community (Kutkorz, Ostrowiec, Niesłuchów, Żelechów, Milatyn, Firlejówka, and Pietrycze) were not included in their allocation, so they did not intend to pay contributions for them; they demanded compensation or a financial discount.
