Protective universal of King Jan Kazimierz to Crown Jews
King Jan Kazimierz Vasa informs that due to the calming of the situation in the country he has issued universals encouraging Jews who fled to Silesia and Brandenburg because of war to come back and settle again. He forbids starosts and municipal councils to collect overdue rental fees and taxes for the time of the Jews’ absence.
