Universal of King Jan Kazimierz to Crown Jews on those avoiding paying the poll tax

At the request of Crown Jewish elders, King Jan Kazimierz Vasa forbids the protectionof Jews in towns and villages who are not paying the Jewish poll tax to their elders and their collectors. He orders that all assistance be provided to the elders and warns that those who do not obey this universal will be sued by the Crown prosecutor.
