Court entry of the orders of payment of the county elders of Poznań and Kalisz
Land elders of Poznań and Kalisz, bearing in mind the impoverishment of the community in Łobżenica, give to Jan Lauson, the oberszter [colonel] of the voivode of Kiev [Marcin Kątski] the order of payment for 400 and 200 złp, freeing the Jews of Łobżenica from all other tax obligations until the new commission [Jewish assembly]. Due to the impossibility of personal collection of the due money, Jan Lauson instructs his wife to collect the sum of 360 tynfs from the Jews in Łobżenica and to give them an order of payment for 400 złp; he also confirms the receipt from the land elders of Poznań and Kalisz of the payment of 217 złp from the Jewish poll tax for the year 1697 from the January and May installments.
