Protestation of the local government of the jurydyka of Firlejowszczyzna and the local Jews against the kahal of Lublin concerning the harm they have experienced

The head of the Lublin jurydyka of Firlejowszczyzna (the so-called Słomiany Rynek [Straw Market]), Stanisław Deykowski, together with the councilors Wawrzyniec Deykowski, Maciej Obutal and Antoni Boćkowski, on behalf of himself and the local landlord, Józef Scypio del Campo, Court Marshal of Lithuania and Starost of Lida, as well as the Jewish elders from the newly created community in the jurydyka of Firlejowszczyzna Mośko Idzkowicz and Herszko Lewkowicz, assisted by Piotr Konwicki, the steward of these landed properties, make a complaint against Chaim Abramowicz, Abraham Chaimowicz, and Froim Aronowicz, the elders of Lublin, because of the their breaking of the Crown law, disregard for the landlord's jurisdiction and the numerous harms they suffered as well as curses against them. In particular, however, they protest because of the digging out of the body of the deceased Beniamin, who rested on the newly created Jewish cemetery on the Straw Market, and then his burial at the Jewish cemetery in Lublin; they also protest against the prohibition of trade with them for the Jews from the vicinity of Lublin, a ban on the butchers from the Straw Meat Market to sell their meat in Lublin, as well as raising significantly the Jewish poll tax (the so-called kraga).
