Protestation of the Jews from Dobromil against the land elders of the Przemysl region from Jarosław and Przeworsk

Mendel Berkowicz from Dobromil, a senior of the Przemyśl poviat and region, on his behalf as well as the seniors of Dobromil: Wulf Berkowicz and Wulf Drohobycki, and the Jewish community of Dobromil protests against rabbi Mendel, Major Berkowicz and Janusz Józefowicz from Jarosław, rabbi Meloch Michałowicz, Hyrsk Józefowicz from Przeworsk, the poviat senior of Przemyśl, appointed to set the poll tax tariffs. In accordance with the mandates of the treasurer, the elders of Dobromil announced the elders of Jarosław and Przeworsk, who had convened an assembly to the village of Ostrowa where, in accordance with the mandates, they were to issue a disposition concerning the poll tax of 4,500 złp from Dobromil, while the elders of Przeworsk and Jarosław asked for the postponement of the regional assembly, however within two years the elders of Jarosław and Przeworsk did not convene any regional assembly and did not execute the provisions of the mandates. They protest, claiming that a deposit of 200 red zloties should be paid and that the community of Dobromil is not able to pay 4,500 złp of the poll tax due to poverty.
