Piotr Karczewski, the landlord of Beresteczko, and the Jews of Beresteczko sue Szewel Jakubowicz, the rabbi of Włodzimierz, Lejba Szmujłowicz, the rabbi of Krzemieniec and other land elders of Volhynia in the case of disregard of the disposition by the Treasurer of the Crown, Karol Odrowąż Sedlnicki, of 17th July 1751, in which he reduced the poll tax from the kahal of Beresteczko to 1600 złp, and the decree of the tribunal of 18th June, 1749, according to which the kahal of Beresteczko was not be overcharged for at least 5 years (even until the restoration of fairs).
