Protestation by Antoni Koźmiński in the name of Piotr Karczewski, the Castellan of Łęczyca and heir of Beresteczko against the rabbis Szawel from Włodzimierz and Lejba from Krzemieniec as well as other land elders from Volhynia concerning the excessive burden in the poll tax tariff on the Jews from Beresteczko, contrary to the verdict of the tax tribunal in Radom of the 18th June, 1749. The elders of Volhynia, at a private convention in Milatyn, without notifying the elders of Beresteczko, imposed a poll tax of 1750 złp annually to the Crown Treasury. Koźminski attached the testimony of the Jews from Milatyn that the Jews of Beresteczko did not participate in the convention in this city in 1749.
