Karol Odrowąż Sedlnicki, replying to the complaint made by the elders of the Crown Jews, announces that from here on out his Chancellery will not be issuing tax exemptions to communities affected by fires. The deciding of the exemption extent now rests with the land elders. The Treasurer requests that the Four Lands’ Council congress take place in accordance with old customs, and the elders are to elect four to five accountants who will inspect the trustees’ records. In order to be appointed trustees or land elders the candidates have to under a special instruction issued by the Treasurer. During the congress, the Jewish matters are to settled by the elders of the Crown Jews, and the matters regarding the Treasury appeals are to be directed to the commissar of the Treasury. When the congress is not in session, appeals must go directly to the Treasurer of the Crown.
