A pledge by Gdal Ickowicz [Jozef Gedaliah ben Yitzhak Segal] on behalf of Józef Icek Jonowicz [Yitzhak Yosef Teomim Frankel], the chief land rabbi of Krakow and Sandomierz for Paweł Karol Sanguszko, Great Marshall of Lithuania. In exchange for Sanguszko's consent for the office of chief [land] rabbi of Krakow and Sandomierz, he undertakes under the deposit 2000 red zlotys on behalf of the rabbi, that the latter will protect the properties of the Marshal and his son, the Sword-bearer of Lithuania, Janusz, especially while levying taxes and will ensure that the most important offices of land elders be maintained in their properties.
