Copy of a letter from the Crown Treasury to the Tax Commissioner for the Jewish Assembly in Pilica

A copy of the letter, probably by the Crown Treasury scribe, to the Crown Treasury Commissioner for the Jewish Assembly in Pilica concerning the Jews from Końskowola and the leaseholders from Puławy and Włostowice. Because of the intervention of the voivode of Ruthenia, August Czartoryski, to the Crown Treasurer concerning his Jews, he recommends the Commissioner not to accept the tax tariffs according to which the Czartoryski’s Jews would have to pay the poll tax for the army, and he also recommends to warn the elders not to raise the amount of the tax.
