A lawsuit to the tax tribunal against the elders of Lublin province concerning the charging the poll tax on the Jews from Piaski and Biskupice

Ludwika Stryjeńska, a widow of [Bogusław] Aleksander Suchodolski, the Master of the Hunt of Lublin, having the property of Piaski in annuity, on behalf of herself and her son, Teodor Suchodolski, the Starost (governor) of Omielnice and heir of this property, as well as on behalf of the Jews of the community of Piaski, sues the elders of Lublin: Józef Sendrowicz, a rabbi from Opole and Jakub Abramowicz, a rabbi from Zwoleń, to the treasury tribunal in Radom, for failing to take into consideration the previous year's fire in Piaski and the ruination of the Jews from the nearby Biskupice (subkahal -przykahałek of the community in Piaski), for putting them in distribution (dyspartyment) the eighth year in a row and overestimating the amount of the poll tax, demanding the payment of the sums of 830 and 400 zł.
