Universal of General Starost of Greater Poland Piotr Opaliński on the poll tax execution
Piotr Opaliński, Łęczyca voivode and general starost of Greater Poland, orders the provision of all assistance to tax collectors travelling to Jewish towns together with Jewish delegates appointed by land elders and forbids disturbing them during execution proceedings in order to avoid providing protection by estate owners and tenants to Jews who are trying to avoid paying the annual Jewish poll tax.
