Oblata of Radom tribunal decree on the fiscal affiliation of Jews from the Owrucz poviat
The Radom treasury tribunal, in compliance with the treasury resolution of 1718, forbids Jews from the Owrucz poviat at the Lithuanian border to pay the Jewish poll tax to the Pińsk kahal for Lithuanian army purposes. Moreover, the tribunal admits that the Ostróg kahal has unlawfully usurped jurisdiction over Jews from the Kiev voivodeship since 1647, and it decides to reestablish independent kahals in Cudnów and Chabno. The tribunal orders Ostróg Jews to prepare an allocation based on which the Crown treasury will issue assignations directly to those kahals.
