Decree of infamy imposed by the tax tribunal on the land elders of Przemyśl

Court register entry from the 21st April 1747, of the decree of infamy imposed on the 6the June 1746, by the Radom treasury tribunal on the land elders of Przemysl on the basis of the lawsuit from the 4th April 1746, for the excessive burden on the Jews from Bircza. In his lawsuit, Jan from Biberstyn Błoński, the heir of a half of Bircza, sued Michał Szmujłowicz, the rabbi of Przemyśl, Moszko Szmojłowicz, the rabbi of Jarosław, Major Oszorowicz, the rabbi of Dobromyśl, that while levying taxes, they imposed extraordinary burdens on the town of Bircza; he demanded a tax refund, restoration of the previous rate of 130 złp and joining of the detached villages and the villages of Lipa and Malawa.
