Letter by King Władysław IV to the Town Hall of Wrocław

King Władysław IV informs the municipal council that he has received complaints that Jews, his subjects and people of his domains, are being cheated on the marketplaces of Wrocław. Money is extorted from them, they are banished from the town, and prevented from trading. The King regards these events as violating good-neighborly relations and agreements with the Crown. It is the King’s opinion that these practices should be desisted from, to enable Jews to trade freely in Wrocław
