Protestation against the elders of Dobromil concerning the Jewish poll tax collected from the Jews of Chyrów

Protestation by Wojciech Stanisław Wielogórski, the regent of the town of Sanok, on behalf of Jan Karol Wandalin Mniszch, Lithuanian Chamberlain, the landlord of Chyrów, proprietor of the royal villages of Starzawa, Smolnica and Krościenko, as the plenipotentiary established in Lviv on the 19th January 1745. Wielogórski brought a protestation concerning the breaking of the law and the agreement against Berek from Dukla, Abraam Abel Jakubowicz, Abraham Hajmowicz and other seniors of the synagogue of Dobromil because, despite the conclusion in 1728 of the agreement with the Jews of Chyrów in the matter of poll tax, under which they were to pay 80 zloties from Chyrów annually, before 1744, contrary to this agreement, they increased the tax with the burden for the Jews of Chyrów, which was appealed in the Radom Tribunal. As a result, the agreement concluded in 1728 was confirmed in 1744. Nevertheless, in 1747, the elders from Dobromil increased the amount of money in their tariff, and the crown treasury issued the orders of payment for higher amounts.
