Protestation on behalf of the Sanguszko dukes and the kahal from their part of the town of Ostróg

Protestation by Stanisław Tomkiewicz on behalf of Paweł Karol and Janusz Sanguszko, the fee-tail possessor of Ostróg and the kahal of the Jews from their part of the town of Ostróg on readiness to fulfill the decree of the nobility court of the voivodeship of Volhynia from the 10th June 1733. According to the decree of the Radom tribunal of the 20th June, 1732, between three cavalry units (of Stanisław Poniatowski, the voivode of Mazowsze, the commander of the Crown army, Maciej Mycielski, the castellan of Kalisz and Antoni Jerzy Trypolski, the Chamberlain of Kiev) and the Sanguszko brothers, Stanisław Wincenty Jabłonowski, the starost of Biała Cerkiew and heir of the second part of Ostróg) as well as the Jews from Ostróg about the overdue Jewish poll tax. Wydżga, the sub-voivode of Volhynia, on the 22th October, 1732, conducted a condescentia (court hearing at the disputed place) in Ostróg, prepared a tariff and ordered, according to it, the repayment of the due sums and penalties. Tomkiewicz claims that the sums had been paid on behalf of the Sanguszko brothers, and the receipts were entered into the town court register of Krzemieniec on the 16th August 1732, in contrast to the Jabłonowski's part. On the 27th April 1733, the deputies of all three cavalry units took the Jews and the heirs of Ostróg to the nobility court for overdue taxes; additionally it was also done by Józef Pietruszewski, the Cup-bearer of Mielnik (who after the Radom decree received an order of payment issued in Warsaw on the 13th October 1732). Tomkiewicz declares his readiness to pay half of the due sum owed to Pietruszewski and to present receipts confirming the payment of poll tax to the deputies of the three cavalry units by the Sanguszko's part.
