Assurance of Lejba, rabbi of Krzemieniec, to the Jews of Kowel
Lejba, the rabbi of Krzemieniec, announces that he has undertaken to fulfil the duties of the Volhyn trustee. He promises the Kowel kahal elders that he will not issue assignments to the Kowel community or to its villages, and in particular add financial arrears to other Volhyn communities without their consent expressed by their signature, according to the allocation of Volhyn Jews.
